the best part of the sals experience that particular day (aside from the food of course)was overhearing the waitress inform a fellow patron that if they thought it was busy on tuesday they should see it on GST cheque day - yes - its that kinda place. oh, and hugh - if you ever read this - i think it might be a shame to close this chapter on sals without hearing about your particular experiences there - i think you know what i mean.....

I've been poisoned twice at Sal's...
Last year was the worst! I spent Christmas Eve in the emergency on an I.V. while my poor old dad sat in the Portage La Prairie Hospital lounge praying for a cup of coffee or a sandwich at 1am in the morning.
It took 3 days for me to be able to stand sitting up and smelling food.
I've never wanted to die so bad before in my life - Thanks Salsbury House!
I hope you burn to the ground.
I would love to hear about Hugh's personal experiences there!!
As for me, I like the cheese nip. Me and my dad would go there sometimes on days when I would go to work with him and I loved it. Especially the fried onions. It's an acquired taste though. 75 years, now that's hard to believe!! Maybe I will give the 75 cent Tuesdays a whirl when I'm out in December.Good Times.
Nice to see you and your burgers back!! Feel free to stop by Tino's in medicine hat sometime for a pst-free burger to post.

Have yet to try a burger here in Dundee, but I did win an eating contest at a Chinese Buffet yesterday.
